Data collection in Purrbi

Your account and pet information

Firebase Authentication processes your email, password credentials and account identifier. Purrbi uses Firebase to store the pet details you enter, barcode scan history and saved profile snapshots, saved products and issue reports. These support your account, label comparisons, history and support requests. Optional breed, age, weight and sensitivity entries are not a veterinary diagnosis or prescription.

The camera reads barcodes on your device; this version does not upload camera frames or product photos. You may deny camera access and enter a barcode manually. Technical identifiers, network/request metadata and app verification information are processed to run and secure the services.

Public product sources and copying facts

New product lookups in this revision send public barcodes to Open Pet Food Facts for exact matching text records. The request excludes account email, account identifier and private pet profiles, including sensitivities; the provider still receives ordinary network/request metadata. Merchant research and new AI generation are not used by this lookup path. Earlier saved reports retain their original evidence and dates.

Copy source facts is optional. It puts selected public source inputs, product facts, dates and licence/transformation information on your clipboard, without your account, pet profile, private findings or report identifiers. Reading saved reports does not start a new generation request. Firebase and provider retention practices are described in the Privacy policy; a health acknowledgment does not authorize different personal-data sharing.

Saved copies and your choices

A bounded recent account cache is kept in device preferences for offline reports, without additional app-level encryption. Signing out requests local-cache removal but does not delete cloud records. Editing a pet profile does not rewrite earlier scan snapshots.

Private account records currently have no automatic age-based expiry. Use Delete my account in the Pets tab and confirm your password, or email contact@valenciainnovations.com with the subject Purrbi account deletion. Do not send your password. Account deletion does not remove shared public-product caches or promise immediate erasure from every provider record or backup.
