PURRBI
A label fit, explained
Revision 2026-10-15.1. Applies when this policy version is released with Purrbi.Start with the suggestion, then see why. The circle shows a label-fit category for the saved pet profile. It is not a percentage, a health score or a guarantee that a food is ideal. Check with your veterinarian before changing food.
What the colors mean
Meal match: recently checked, product-bound stored label evidence declares an adult main-food role for the matching species, with ingredients available and no recorded restrictions. This describes the label's role for an otherwise healthy adult animal; it is not a complete clinical assessment.
Treat use: this result supports considering the product as a treat. Count treats toward daily calories and follow appropriate package directions; ask your veterinarian about your pet's needs. This category does not assess any additional uses stated on the package.
Mismatch: the available label conflicts with a species, life stage or exact ingredient entry in this saved profile. It does not mean the product is bad for every animal. Check the specific reason.
Check lot: a relevant saved or possible product notice needs comparison with your package. Check first or Check label: a specific fact, source, restriction or offline limitation prevents a stronger label-fit suggestion. Preview: fictional information, not a real-product recommendation.
The ring always uses a full circle. Its size or fill does not measure nutrition quality or confidence. Any separate label-transparency number describes evidence completeness, not health, safety or superiority. No numeric nutrition-quality score is enabled in this version.
Your profile: checked and not checked
The comparison uses the saved dog/cat species, supported life-stage label statements, and exact listed matches to recorded sensitivities or ingredients to avoid. It also considers the available evidence, source date, whether the report is offline and relevant notice matches. An incomplete ingredient list cannot establish an ingredient's absence.
Breed, numeric age and weight are saved for context; this version does not determine breed-specific nutrition, infer medical needs from measurements or calculate a personalized feeding amount. Sensitivity entries are owner records, not an allergy diagnosis. Similar names, ingredient families, hidden ingredients and manufacturing cross-contact may not be detected.
Changing a profile affects future scans. Earlier History reports keep the profile and evidence used at that time. Recheck the current package and select the right pet before making a decision.
Earlier AI explanations and current source facts
Earlier saved reports may include an AI product take made from public product facts. Private pet profiles were not part of that summary request, and its wording does not set or upgrade the fit circle. New lookups in this revision do not generate an AI product take. AI can make mistakes; follow the original source links and dates and use veterinary advice before changing a diet.
Ingredient explanations describe roles and recorded concerns. We do not assign every ingredient a universal good/bad health score. The overall formula, nutrient balance, feeding amount and individual animal matter. An ingredient list alone cannot answer all of those questions.
Labels, government information and recalls
A manufacturer or merchant label statement is attributed to that source. A nutritional-adequacy declaration is different from Purrbi independently analyzing nutrients. FDA guidance helps explain label claims and FDA notices can identify recalls; neither means FDA approved this app's suggestion.
A brand-only recall headline is not evidence that every product from that brand is recalled. Compare exact product, lot, dates and region with the official notice. Coverage is limited and may be stale; no match is not a safety clearance. Open the original notice for current instructions.
